About Me
George Torres brings over 25 years of experience in retail Asset Protection, Organized Retail Crime (ORC), and Cyber Crime & Fraud. Over the course of his career, he has built strong relationships with law enforcement across the country and was a Founding Member of the first ORC Association in the United States, the Los Angeles Area Organized Retail Crimes Association (LAAORCA), helping pave the way for similar associations to launch nationwide.
George holds a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and a master’s in leadership from Champlain College. A former U.S. Marine who served during Operation Desert Storm, he’s also an avid CrossFitter, a devoted Dodgers fan, and a proud “Broadway Musical Dad” who spends weekends building sets for his daughter’s community theater productions. When he’s not staying active, he practices mindful meditation to keep himself balanced.
When asked who his personal archetypes are, George points to Vin Scully for his ability to lead through storytelling, George Clooney for connecting with people with ease, and Derek Jeter for always putting the team first and his ego last.
